PARSHAS KEDOSHIM
Can you figure out what each picture has to do with the parsha?

KEY to Parshas Kedoshim Pix
First 3 Years – The first three years after a fruit tree is planted, the fruits that grow are “orlah” and may not be eaten (19:23)
No Tattoos – One is not allowed to have a permanent tattoo marked on his body. (However, the idea that one who has a tattoo cannot be buried in a Jewish cemetery is a myth.) 19:28
Pay On Time – One is obligated to pay someone who worked for him that day. (This is important to keep in mind with babysitters and the like.) 19:13
Let Go of Grudges – The Torah forbids revenge or holding a grudge. (A rebbe of mine noted that in his opinion not holding a grudge is the most difficult of all mitzvos in the Torah.) 19:18
Shatnez Labs – One is not allowed to wear clothing that has wool and linen – 19:19
Blind person walking – The Torah warns about not placing a stumbling block before a blind person. Chazal explain that this refers to misleading any person by purposely giving them bad advice- 19:14
Honest Weight – We are exhorted to ensure that our weights and measurements are as accurate as possible – 19:36
מפני שיבה תקום – We are obligated to stand respectfully for an elderly person. (On Egged busses in Eretz Yisroel these words are displayed on the front of the bus.) 19:32
Everyone Together – The parsha opens with instruction that we should be holy people. (Rashi understands this to mean removing ourselves from immorality. Ramban understands this to mean that a Jew must act in a refined, exemplary fashion.) Rashi says this mitzvah was instructed at a time of assembly when the entire nation was gathered together. 19:2
Halachos of Haircuts – The Torah forbids one to “round the corners of (the hair on) his head” which teaches us the laws of leaving our peiyos. (Incidentally, the book shown by Rabbi Avi Weisenfeld is an excellent resource about the halachos of haircuts.) 19:27
